1980 Volkswagen Rabbit Pickup Caddy

White on white on white 983 Volkswagen Rabbit for sale. Body is in good condition but does have one spot of rust on the front
driver side of the windshield, otherwise minor dings and paint is in good condition for its age. Clean title. $5,000 OBO.



Top is fully functional with no rips - it was replaced at some point in its life. Top does leak during heavy rain.



Interior needs carpet, but seats are in good condition.



Manual transmission with no problems, has the 5 speed. All shifter linkages and bushings have been replaced last year.



Car does start and run, can drive it anywhere. Does have some quirks - it has always started, but after sitting after driving for
a little bit it needs to crank more than usual. Car can overheat when driving in town, highway has been fine. Car drives fine but
will sputter out if the rpms are allowed to fall too quickly from over ~3500RPMs. Doesnt affect shifting, just cant pull it out of
gear at high rpm and let idle. Distributor has been taken apart and cleaned inside and out. Distributor cap, rotor, and wires were
replaced about two years ago.



Engine idles high, AC booster and O2 sensors were unplugged to help with this. AC is present and does not work - refrigerant was
converted though.

1981 LX 1.9 Turbo Diesel AAZ with 53k, 5 speed, no rust, straight body, never wrecked

New windshield, front and rear window seals, new radiator, hoses and belts.

New KYB stuts and rear shocks. New carpet, seat covers and head liner. Fuel tank has been relined. 

Straight dash no cracks. 

Runs and drives flawlessly.

Straight piped and K&N. Won a first place trophy at the Spokane Bug Fair in 2008.

I have all the receipts. Sweet little ride.

1981 Rabbit Pickup 
This truck has been great to me for the past few years but its time to sell it. Bunch of parts will go with it as well. Somethings have changed on it. Nothing major. 1985 Volkswagen Rabbit Pickup Cady

Looking to sell my 1982 VW Rabbit pickup. 

Runs drives and stops only issue is the alternator doesnt charge everytime, it is a brand new alternator so must be something related to within I might get around to fixing it before a sale but otherwise it has tons of new parts all done in the last year

New fuel tank, starter, alternator, injectors and glow plugs, timing belt, water pump and thermostat, brand new tires maybe 50 miles on them. No rust in the normal places these like to rust out at like strut towers etc. 

As for the cons the back window has a broken section. (I have a new window that goes with it) like I said alternator doesnt always charge, passenger door doesnt open from the outside unless you have some finesse, also bed stacked if that isnt your jam have the factory stuff though. 

Sweet little truck gets 45-50 mpg awesome for running around town message me with any questions and I get can some better photos once I am home. Washington title in my name

1981 Diesel Volkswagen Rabbit Truck.



Purchased from the original owner who drove and maintained the truck since new. The motor was replaced under warranty at 30k miles
by the dealer with a new engine from Germany. It was garaged its entire life.



Hasnt been run in six years. I made no attempts to start it. The paint and body are in very good original condition. The
passenger side wing window is messed up, and there is a small dent on the passenger door where it looks like someone tried to pry
the window open. Both are pictured. The rear bumper is bent slightly on one side. There is no other body damage.



Its a very clean and straight pickup just needing some mechanical touches to get it back to life. Let me know if you have any

Volkswagen Rabbit Pickup

1983 model, diesel, 5 speed manual transmission. Gets about 50 miles per gallon. 
It does need the front end rebuilt ,a new vacuum pump for the breaks & the emergency break needs new cable. It does start, runs great & drives down the road. Mileage is actual mileage. It has been a great little truck. Just needs a little TLC. This is  the last year Volkswagen made this truck.

For Sale 1983 Volkswagen Rabbit Diesel Pickup

1983 VW Rabit pickup 5speed, diesel none turbo.

I'm selling my 83' VW Caddy. It's been sitting in my garage for years and needs to go to someone who wants to drive it. Many new
parts, too many to list and tons of extras will come with it.

Currently starts and idles rough and does not drive. The fuel pump has not been fully adjusted but I will include in the extra
parts a fuel pump dial gauge. I do not have the correct adapter for my compression tester to get an accurate pressure test

~Freshly rebuilt head (I have the receipt for the head resurfacing) and all new gaskets in the top end (head gasket and studs)

~New fuel injectors

~New glow plugs

~New timing belt and tensioner



I am the third owner and have all info on this vehicle back to 2003. Clean title.

Truck has very low miles 77,000.  I did get it to start and idle.  I can send video for serious buyers.

Truck has no rust and has been a Nevada truck it's entire life.  Floor pans, shock towers, all look excellent and have no rust.  The body has a few good size dents, but they should be easy to pull.  The truck is complete and pretty well untouched.  Does have a handful of broken parts, but they are all available  and not very expensive, like headlights and turn signals.  I have a bunch replacement parts for a decent buyer.  I have the tailgate...it's pretty rough so I might keep it for a wall hanger...Comes with a topper of your choice I have 2.
